Biography

My name is Rexter McCain, and I have been writing poems since 2019 in pursuit of discovering the power of words. When I was a kid, I was so fascinated on how people convey their feelings through words and so here I am sharing the things that I've learned and the things I have created during the process of learning.

The Archive

This archive is a curated collection of my poems and perhaps some proses, organized thoughtfully by numbers, collections, and genres. It allows readers like you to explore the evolution of my work, from early experiments to more refined pieces and soon to those pieces that I will be more committed with and that I can call my own masterpiece.

Philosophy & Approach

My approach to poetry blends structures with experimentations. I also produce poems out of my thoughtfulness or if an emotion cannot be contained anymore that I am in need of a medium to write. I loved reading traditional poems or should I say, those structured ones, but sometimes it makes me feel like it's too dry when being written. I often explore unique patterns, rhythm, and imagery to evoke my feelings and emotion. Writing is a way of mine to express my understanding of the world.

Whether you love to read, to write, to do both, or if you are just being inspired to begin doing those, I hope this archive provide a boost on your reflection and creativity. Poetry for me, is a personal journey, and sharing these works allows us to connect through language even if it is not being spoken.
